I think perhaps I was grouping the contrators a bit harsh in this entry. It looks like it just more of a general rant on my part.

I met some really amazing contractors out there. It's true what you said... some are righteous, but some aren't. I suppose we can say that about U.S. forces too, eh?

Sorry, but I gotta call B.S. on some of this post. What you don't realize is that contractors medical isn't free. Its charged to the government just like military flights, those suv's you see and a million other things. A contractor is charged for literally everything he uses. Down to electricity usage. This all goes back to the government for charging and the gov takes these charges into account when the contractor rebids their contract. Heard of lowest bidder right? I also don't think the contractors took apart your dish to "fatten their pockets". Money out here only works on the Iraqis. Its a pirate society out here, always has been. They probably loaned it to you and had to take it back. I sit next to a terrain shop and run them a splitter from our cable and give them some of our pipe for their connection. Technically, I shouldn't, but I do. But, when I leave i'll take those things away from them. I know most of the soldiers out here think that civilians are only here for the money, but we're not. Sure some are, but most of us are prior military and we just choose to fight a different way now. And the rumors that we make 150k- 250k a year are WAY off. anyway, rant off.
