Short & Sweet: Journal 10/11/06
Back in Kuwait and feeling the rush of going home! We’re back to exactly where we started. My unit spent our first week in the middle east at the same camp in Kuwait that I’m at now. It’s funny that even though I haven’t been here since October 2005, I still recognize everything. A few things have changed in a year, but it’s mostly the same. Still full of sand and heat. Still packed with internet hungry soldiers. Still the middle east.
Things are moving much quicker than I expected. In a few hours I’ll be dumping out all my bags for a customs officer to sift through. No more zippos in my kevlar this time! To get back into the states, they do everything short of a full cavity search. (But shhh… don’t tell anyone I’m trying to sneak back a cool looking rock from Iraq.)
So what’s everyone doing this weekend? ![]()
