If this isn’t a sign of the times, I don’t know what is
I offically quit smoking 37 days ago. I think I can safely call myself a non-smoker. And guess what?  So have the French!!
If the French can do it…Â we certainly can too.

AND WOAH….i just read that article. awesome. the french are some smokin-ess peeps too. we could take a cue from them and ban it here. even sweeter that they’re picking up part of the tab for anti-smoking aids. yay france!
37 days isn’t enough to be able to say you’re a non-smoker. You’re just not smoking NOW. I once stopped smoking for 6 months and started back up again over something so stupid I can’t even remember what it was. I was always trying to quit and making it for days, weeks, or even months - and then once again failing, bumming a cigarette or two off of someone and then buying a pack, and so on.
Finally, 25 years ago, in February 1972, I quit cold turkey. For months and years after that I continued to fight the urge. I would even dream at night about having a smoke. In 2002, my brother and I each bought a cigar in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I hated it! It tasted nasty - and smelled bad, too. I put it out and threw it away after smoking less than half of it.
What I am trying to say is “Be careful. It’s all too easy to slip back into smoking and it’s not worth it.”
37 days and counting… befor long you’ll replace that habit with another nutty addiction (for me it was working, the reading and finally running), but 37 days is a great start… i still remember when and why i quit smoking (16 years ago? Yikes!)
sorry if i missed it in a previous post, but would you mind sharing why decided to quit?

I did quit for 3 years now. And I will never smoke again!
