I’m having a small (and generally insignificant) issue with my site. I think a normal person wouldn’t think twice about it, but it’s been bothering me for days now.

Here’s the deal. Please, OH PLEASE, I hope there’s someone out there who knows how to fix this:

IE7 displays my site exactly as I’ve set it up. All the side bars and colors and such are precisely as they should be.
But in FireFox my sidebars are a bit mangled. #2 & #3 are sitting on top of each other instead of side-by side. So it’s making one very long sidebar that runs down most of my site. (This makes all the information so far out of view, that I doubt anyone bothers to go down and look.)

Like I said, even though it runs brilliantly in IE7 (or just Explorer in general) it gets mangled by FireFox.

This is a fine example of something that really isn’t that important but keeps me awake at night anyway. blah.

Any ideas?

*** ADDITION ***

I finally sat down tonight (Feb 20th) to fix the odd side bar shifts once and for all. It would have saved me the worry if I had just frickin’ thought through the problem. I realized that Firefox displays sites slightly different than Explorer. This can cause bending or stretching of templates and causes them to bump against other sidebars and force them to shift.

Long story short, I discovered that the little green pic I have in the “About Me” section was being stretched by Firefox enough to bumped the other sidebars down.

After making a minor modification to my pic, everything is working beautifully in both IE7 and Firefox.  (Although I’m not totally happy that I had to crop my pic a little on the bottom.)

deep sigh.
