The universities bi-monthly bulletin for Women’s Studies just came in the mail today. In the middle of multi tasking three other things, I ripped open the envelope to glance at the events that I should be expecting this month. I wasn’t paying much attention to what I was reading….. Women’s History Month….new faculty associates…opportunities & announcements… and then my name jumped off the page at me. gah!?

Jami Gibbs has been published in the 2007 World Almanac in a section titled “Blogs from Soldiers and Their Families: Voices of Service in America”

I’m surprised that this news is still popping up in odd places months after the book had been put on the shelves. It comes off as a random blip in this sea of wordy feminist events.

Either way, it was cool that the feminist studies department included me in their “accomplishments” list, especially as an undergraduate. But when will my next publication be? I’ve been trying to formulate my next writing project and it’s proving to be difficult with so many other academic writing distractions in my way. I’ll be sure to flush it all out here eventually.

Until then, here’s a panda:
