Tony Snow just made me choke up. He’s always been a sort of villainous figure as GWB’s Press Secretary. But today marked his return to work after discovering his cancer, that was previously in his colon, has now spread to his liver.
This morning on CNN, he spoke to the press at the White House as was his normal daily routine. And the representative of our horrible President, the puppet who dances for that douchemonkey sitting in his high office, started to cry. Mr. Snow is apparently very human. Of course, nothing makes my water works run faster than when someone else is crying.
Even if he is a Republican, humanity counts.
Teary-eyed White House spokesman details cancer fight
(CNN) — The usually smooth and composed White House spokesman Tony Snow was at a loss for words Monday when he told the press corps about the return of his cancer.
“I’ll try not to get choked up, so I’ll go slow,” he said.
Going slow didn’t help. “You never anticipate this stuff,” he said. “It just happens. I want to thank everybody in this room. You guys. …”
At that, he stopped speaking, sighed heavily and gave the room of reporters a thumbs up.
“I’m not trying to feel sorry for myself, I’m just going to stop being choked up because you’ve been so wonderful,” Snow told the group.
Sometimes our political differences have to be set aside for human tragedy.

I missed the televised report, but I’ll do my best to summon up some compassion for Bush’s waterboy.
