Are you thinking perhaps maybe I’ve lost my words? Oh, no no.
Instead, I’ve been cracking away at a fun little newsy/politicy/opiniony site called Patriot Missive. Yep, it’s revealed now. I’ve discovered that it’s quite cleansing to blurt out a few lines about things I read in the news or hear on the radio (I’m one of those geeky NPR addicts). If anything, it’s been another stage for me to drive myself crazy with CSS code.
Also, a few pieces I wrote last year while deployed were chosen to be included in a book sponsored by Gary Trudeau of Doonesbury; The Sandbox: Dispatches from Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. It should be on bookshelves any day now. All proceeds go to a charity of some sort so either way, it’ll be a great purchase to show your support of yours truely or the troops in general.
In short, my life right now consists of long work shifts, longer rush hour traffic, and web site maintenance. Bed time? 9 pm. But honestly, I’m feeling quite full at the end of most days.
Give me another week and my tune may change.
