As a bonus of Israel’s 60th anniversary, they put on an air show in Tel Aviv off the beaches of the Mediterranean. Sounds tasty, doesn’t it?

The air (and sea) show was narrated via loudspeaker as each war machine was paraded in front of us either via the Mediterranean or air directly above us. It was a little surreal since a majority of the machines are American. Not to mention, the narrator spoke first in Hebrew and then in English with a strong American accent. I forgot a few times where I was considering the familiarity of what I was seeing and hearing.

To my delight, the air show was preluded by a showing of the Israeli Navy including the first active submarine I’d seen to date:
