Life is Just a Box of Phases
Things feel like they’re evolving a little bit for me right now. I’ve finished three months of language study at Ulpan Gordon and after slamming my head against the wall more than a few times, I’m starting to feel really good about my (slow) progress. I paid for three months and I finished three months. Pat on the friggin’ back. Now what?
I have the option of staying in the same class at Ulpan Gordon with the same instructor (Drill Sergeant D’vora) until the end of August, or, I’m considering just focusing again on my writing (in English, of course) of the memoiresque book I’ve been formulating in my head for the last year plus writing here on AmericanBabble.com, PatriotMissive.com, and other freelance blogging gigs I’ve been hired into which includes the travel website Cosmotourist.com. Cosmotourist is actually turning out to be a lot more fun than I anticipated…regardless of it’s shitty pay. $2 per 500 characters. gasp. Just feed me bread and water now, please.
And of course, I’m eye balling the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv which has a hard-on for military veterans. It’s not a hard choice for me having the option of working for them or not. Time will tell.
Either way, I’m trying hard to live how I want to live and figure out exactly what is Jami’s form of success.
